Women empowerment has been a long-standing issue, with which many women around the world are facing challenges. Despite significant progress in recent decades, disparities still exist in areas such as education, healthcare, economic participation, and political representation. In many communities, cultural norms and systemic barriers continue to limit women's potential. For example, in many parts of the world, girls still have limited access to quality education, and women are underrepresented in leadership roles across various sectors. We at COLEDEFO have bridged this barrier through empowerment with skill acquisition and trainings. Our concerns for the development of women and the girl child are based on long-term benefits and results that are proving to be beneficial and profitable globally. It's without reservation that the population of the female gender is greater than the male counterpart, which cannot be emphasized. Hence, the unending need to increase and intensify efforts aimed at contributing our quota to the global agenda of empowering our women in society.
DonateWe are a charity organisation whose sole purpose of existence is to liberate women and the girl child from poverty in our immediate communities, state, and the country at large.
Our vision at COLEDEFO is to be at the forefront of selfless services, innovative, technology-driven, and sustainable programs with best global practices aimed at alleviating poverty among women and the girl child.
Education is a fundamental right and a powerful tool for empowerment. Yet, millions of girls within our communities are still out of school. Ensuring equal access to quality education for all girls is essential for building a brighter future. Educated women are more likely to participate in the workforce, make informed decisions, and contribute to their communities.
Access to healthcare services, including reproductive health, is crucial for women’s well-being and autonomy. Addressing health disparities and ensuring access to comprehensive healthcare can significantly improve the quality of life for women. This includes access to maternal healthcare, family planning services, and mental health support.
Economic empowerment enables women to achieve financial independence and contribute to their communities. Promoting women’s participation in the workforce, supporting entrepreneurship, and ensuring equal pay for equal work are vital steps toward bridging the gender gap in economic opportunities.
Women's voices must be heard in decision-making processes at all levels. Encouraging women's political participation, supporting female leadership, and ensuring gender equality in governance are vital steps toward a more inclusive society.
